Big news Leeds! The plan to bring STACK to Kirkgate Market has just taken a major step forward - the lease is signed!
STACK Leeds will transform part of the outdoor market into a vibrant, two-storey container-style leisure hub featuring:
- 10 street food vendors
- 6 bars + a coffee shop
- Live music on a central stage
- Huge digital screens
- Covered plaza for all-weather vibes
With 160 new jobs expected and a big boost in footfall, this project aims to support the existing market traders while bringing a fresh wave of visitors to one of Leeds’ most historic sites.
Subject to planning and licensing approvals, construction is expected to begin in early 2026, with doors set to open later that year.

Integrating with the existing outdoor and indoor market, we're committed to enhancing this community space, inviting traders to join us in this new chapter.
