TASTE OF THE EAST ARRIVES AT STACK LINCOLN
THE NEWEST addition to the line-up of street food vendors at STACK Lincoln is bringing a taste of the East to the venue.
Bao Down will be opening its doors this weekend, bringing with it a menu packed full of fluffy bao buns with a range of fillings, gyozas and loaded fries.
The outlet – which has already been a huge success at STACK Seaburn in Sunderland and STACK St. James’ in Newcastle - is now expanding to share its delicious food in Lincoln for the first time.
Diners will be able to enjoy a range of bao buns with fillings including classic barbeque – slow cooked pulled pork with barbeque sauce, sriracha mayo, crispy and spring onions – and sesame seeds and katsu chicken, as well as vegetarian options such as barbequed jackfruit and crispy tofu and mushrooms.
The loaded fries also have a distinctly Asian twist, with choices such as BBQ Korean pork and spicy tofu.
Bao Down also sells a selection of different gyoza dumplings and a choice of Katsu curries, with an additional range of sides.
Owner Alex Hindson is delighted to be opening up at STACK Lincoln, which will mark the vendor’s fourth site.
“We can’t wait to bring Bao Down to Lincoln and let everyone taste our unique take on what is a real favourite of Asian cuisine,” he said.
“Anyone who hasn’t tried them before is in for a real treat and hopefully anyone who is familiar with these dishes will be blown away by our take on them and how delicious they are.”
The news that Bao Down is opening at STACK Lincoln comes hot on the heels of two other new arrivals - El Mex Burrito Bar and its sister company, Don Churros, which have taken over two units on the roof terrace.
Neill Winch, CEO of STACK, said the food offering at STACK Lincoln is going from strength to strength.
“Having Bao Down open at STACK Lincoln means we really do have an eclectic mix of cuisines, with something to appeal to everyone,” he said.
“Bao Down has been a huge hit at other STACKs and we believe that people in Lincoln will really enjoy the delicious food that they offer.”
