Meet our St. James' STACK Starting XI - Tip Top
Tip Top, an idea born from a sons pride
Tip Top truly is a family affair, owner Arran Liu, 27, was born in Newcastle into a family deeply rooted in the restaurant business. His father, Kevin Liu, has enriched Newcastle's culinary scene with various restaurants offering Chinese and Japanese cuisine, most notably The New Rendezvous in Ponteland.
"I am heavily inspired by my father's hard work and dedication, seeing firsthand the effort required to build and grow a successful customer base.” says Arran
A diverse offering for the Mighty Mags
The menu at Tip Top is simple yet diverse, offering a variety of flavors to cater to everyone. Using fresh ingredients, they provide fast and tasty dishes of the highest quality. The offerings include a mix of Chinese and Thai street food, such as Chinese black bean and satay, Pad Thai, and Thai green curry. Additionally, they feature smaller dishes like Hong Kong-style Shumai and salt and pepper specialties.
Tip Top takes the Toon!
“As a supporter of Newcastle United, I was very excited to hear that STACK has partnered with Newcastle United to create a dedicated fan zone. Most looking forward to the atmosphere that will bring to the city and the community to be brought together in this amazing venue! We can’t wait to provide our flavours to STACK!” says Arran
As their first site in the new venture, Tip Top’s eclectic but classic Asian food will be a surefire hit with football fans and visitors to St. James’ STACK, and we can’t wait to be a part of their journey into the street food scene.
