MEET OUR STARTING XI! - TEXAS SMOKER

This ain’t Texas, this is the Toon

Bringing the authentic taste of the deep south to the North East. Dubbed the biggest little smokehouse on the festival scene, Texas Smoker are an established street food trader originating from the North East. With American roots, husband and wife duo Garry and Jo are true BBQ experts and we can’t wait to dig into those 8 hour smoked ribs!

11 years of smoke

After running successful burger units and mobile bars, husband and wife duo Garry and Jo opened Texas Smoker. Jo’s family lived in the States, and they realised that no one was yet offering authentic American BBQ on the UK festival scene. And ever since that first booking, Texas Smoker has been in high demand.

Texas Smoker are another OG STACK Newcastle trader, with us till we closed our doors in 2022. After heading back to the US they found a unique 1946 Chevy Firetruck on an Indian reservation in Kansas. After having it shipped home, they converted it into a smoker to join the rest of their mobile smokers. Texas Smoker trades all over the UK and was recently awarded Best Customer Experience at Hyde Park, thanks to their dedicated fabulous team.

Back at STACK

“We’re really looking forward to being back at STACK and trading in the North East again. The STACK team and customers are some of the friendliest in the country” says co-founder Garry.

And we’re sure the mighty mags won’t be able to get enough of their famous 48 hour oak smokey brisket and pork. Served on either fries, topped with melted cheese, BBQ sauce, chipotle and spring onions, or in a brioche on top of a brisket Pattie with BBQ and homemade slaw. Or maybe those legendary 8 hour smoked ribs are more your thing? If red meat isn’t your thing they also offer American style Buffalo Wings, alongside their classic Chilli Cheese Dogs and Dirty Dogs. Using local family butchers Freemans for all their meat and The Original Sauce Company for all their sauces, Texas Smoker pride themselves on premium food and high quality service.
