STACK LINCOLN ANNOUNCES ITS OFFICIAL OPENING DATE…

An eagerly awaited new Lincoln leisure concept has announced it will open this month (May) in time for the next bank holiday.

STACK Lincoln is a large-scale hospitality venue incorporating a range of bars and street food outlets on the site of the former Argos store at St Marks Shopping Centre.

And it will officially open its doors to the public on Wednesday 22 May, at 4.00pm.

Customers will be able to enjoy everything from coffee and cake to street food from around the world, along with bars and entertainment, at STACK, which already has a highly successful sister venue at Seaburn, Sunderland.

And bosses are “immensely pleased” to be opening the site in time for the next bank holiday weekend a couple of days later.

Among the traders are YOLO Coffee and Kitchen, Holy Duck – which specializes in duck wraps and duck loaded fries - and Zza Pizzeria, all three of which are hugely popular at STACK Seaburn.

Lincolnshire street food operator, The Barbell Burger Co, has found a new home at STACK Lincoln, alongside Oh La La Street Food, renowned for their generous potato and halloumi fries, covered in a range of delicious toppings.

Specialist pulled pork creators, The Cheesy Pig, are also setting up shop at STACK, offering a range of pulled pork rolls and loaded fries which combines the classic pulled meat with a thick cheese panade, homemade sauce and a range of other mouthwatering ingredients.

“And there’s plenty more besides,” said Neill Winch, CEO of STACK.

"We are thrilled to announce the opening of STACK Lincoln, marking a significant milestone in our nationwide expansion,” he said.

“As we prepare to open our doors on 22 May, we're excited to introduce the unique STACK experience to Lincoln just in time for the Bank Holiday weekend.

“This new venue, a creatively repurposed retail unit in the heart of the city, embodies our commitment to revitalising urban spaces while fostering community engagement.

“At STACK, we aim to create a vibrant leisure hub for locals and visitors alike to enjoy an eclectic mix of live entertainment and street food.

“And we look forward to becoming an integral part of Lincoln's community and providing a festival style experience for everyone to enjoy."

A spokesperson from STACK’s landlord, abdrn, said: "We are delighted to be welcoming STACK to St Marks Shopping Centre later this month.

“This highly anticipated addition will offer a new unparalleled experience to our visitors, featuring a captivating array of culinary delights and a vibrant cultural hub.”

Along with the food and drink outlets, STACK Lincoln will have a roof terrace, coffee shop and a central plaza with a stage for live entertainment.

The venue is one of several STACKs currently being created around the county, including two new venues in Newcastle – one a fanzone in conjunction with

Newcastle United FC – Durham, Bishop Auckland, Whitley Bay, Carlisle, Manchester, Wigan, Leeds, Middlesbrough, Sheffield and Northampton.
